I visited the M&M world store in London, where I recorded the whole store including all for store. I tried to measure the place but i wasn’t allowed due to company policy! You can view the video by clicking the link. Its a short edited video clip were it all starts with a coloured chocolates sweets with in a small m&m package, and then it goes onto advertisements such as t.v, posters, etc. with al that money spent on this sore for promoting, as children’s and adults walk pass by, there not jus going inside the place to shop but looking around interacting with all the colours, mechanism around which is part promoting. this goes back to square one selling the m&m sweets!

M&M’s World store in London officially opened to the public on Monday 13 June 2011, in Leister Square. It is the world’s largest candy store, at 35,000 sq ft (3,250 sq metres)! It’s had huge promotion by the London boy band singers JLS and by the Mayor of London Boris

Beauty project

I asked my self, what is beauty? and some reason why, the 1st thing come to my head was “London!” I visited many places around London city such as Canary Wharf, Trafalgar Square, London Eye and 2012 Olympics in stratford and many other tourist attraction, where I took many pictures and video clip on my phone ! but this advert is mainly targeted at audiences that who live in London and that has forgotten about the beauty of it!

Here are two of the A3 posters that i did based on drugs. The reason why i chose to do drugs because cocaine is one of the main issues on the street. It’s causing people in many ways, addiction, health problems, death, depts and many more.

8 disaster booklet

This project was very intresting that is because there are many disasters that has taken in the past and still happening at present. The 1 paticular of the cause of the disaster are religion and culture and beliefs, that why I chose I this and each page after the content i have quoted each pictures. On the last page I have left a solution that could be used and dealt with.

Content

Fights, protests, wars, rights for religion, culture issues and many more situations like these make today’s world a threat. There is too much generalization in the question of why this is all happening. Such as, the religions themselves are not fighting. The dispute is between the inhabitants of a certain region of the country. The factions just happen to be uniform in their religious affiliations because a dispute over land allocation was handled badly. There is a constant tension over ownership and always has been. If we are talking about the war on terror, that is another issue all together with quite complex social political causes and implications that have very little to do with religion. Each issues create groups which believes that everything concerns to care and affection and are willing to kill one another to prove it.

The Box

When i read the brief it got me to quite thinking because a box could be anything but how do i describe someone. It had to be based on something particular such as, angry, sweet , lonely, boring, loving etc.

So i came up an idea of a box that has a multi function to it. For example it could be used for cigarettes or pens etc. but its also has a hidden section to it this could be where some hides something which mean a lot to them, something illegal such drugs or weapons. I have chose to use color black cuase it describes someone being dark, a person might keep a weapon inside it!

This is where you could put something ordinary..

and this where that particular person might hide a gun inside it.

It was difficult for me to choose 12 books that have found interesting and also influenced! After a lot of thinking i have come up these books.

Twilight

Twilight, by Stephenie Meyer unveils a ‘never-imagined’ epic about a human irrevocably in love with a vampire. For me, this story revealed a true reality, as I read in the book, ‘and so the lion fell in love with the lamb’. This quote suggests that no matter how beautiful or ugly someone may be, love can still happen and go beyond the judgements of appearances.

New Moon

New Moon, by Stephenie Meyer features a ‘love triangle’. Everyone who loves wants to be loved in return. However, after reading New Moon I realised that, it is not always necessary that the one you love must love you back. I also found various meanings of love that can be interpreted in different ways such as, having respect for each other, loyalty and appreciation.

Eclipse

Eclipse, by Stephenie Meyer is about a difficult journey, two lovers go through together. This story made me feel how the world and life is really like. Every day, every minute, every second, our life takes a new turn towards success or failure, happiness or loneliness. Yet we learn to overcome our fears, and break the barriers that prevent us from being who we are. Eventually, we all learn to be happy with what we have in life.

A Thousand Splendid Suns

A Thousand Splendid Suns, by Khaled Hosseini unmasks a true story about a thirteen year old Afghanistan girl, who goes through fear and spiteful pain after her marriage with a thirty year old man. This story made me see beyond the false ideology of fair culture, which has overtaken religious concepts. In other words, in Islam women and men are said to be equal, however culture contradicts that norm.

The Da Vinci Code

The Da Vinci Code, by Dan Brown unlocks the truth within the book, about revealing and solving mysteries and secrets, within a biased culture of a society. After reading this book it made me question, that life itself is a big question mark. There is never an actual answer to anything. The same way, every lie leaves a trail to the truth (or what we perceive as the truth).

Artist’s Famous Quote

“Art is never finished only abandoned” (Leonardo Da Vinci 1452-1519).

This is a very popular, yet highly influential quote said by an inspiring artist. It makes me think about how Art can always progress, that it is endless, you can always add to it, develop further, how I can always look into a whole new concept using my original idea.

I was influenced into believing that hope will help me create Art pieces that will make me proud.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, by J.K.Rowling made me grow to be more mature and realise that no matter how hard life can be, there is always light at the end of tunnel, there is always a solution, an answer to everything, every problem.

Memory Cards 24

Memory Cards are set of flat planes that are symbolic, emblematic or typographic. Each card has on its surface a coloured graphic. The coloured graphic should represent events or issues that reality in its symbolic form. These ‘pure’ shapes may literally build into a 3D form as your memory cards will also be designed to be interlocked or assembled into a house of cards. One that your psyche inhabits.

When I read the brief my mind was everywhere, 24 memory’s of my 22 years of my life! it was quite difficult to remember what memory’s i’ve had when I was 2 or 3 yrs old. but eventually i got there! This is a 3d model and as you can see you can only see 12 memory’s but when you twist round you’ll bee able to see the rest of the 12 cards.

Recipe

As you can see here I have engraved the recipe on to the wooden chopping bord. It may look easy but its not it does take time and some patience. the reason why i chose to do this idea because i knew people may end up printing the recipe straight onto objects such as cups, plates glass, mugs etc. Also doing this i have understood hand drawn typography is a lot more interesting. these day you can get fonts straight of the software and jobs done but there no fun in that. overall i’ve enjoyed doing this experimental work.
